Blåkläder's new company movie is here. CHECK IT OUT!
With roots firmly planted in the heartland of the Swedish textile industry, Blåkläder has a long and proud history of workwear production.
We try, fail and learn. We make the hard choices and the unpopular decisions.
We say no – so you don’t have to.
We are deeply rooted in the authentic blue-collar culture of Scandinavia, renowned for its hard-working people and rugged environment. Blåkläder has accepted the challenge of improving the working lives of professional tradesmen and women who build our societies. Inch by inch. Seam by seam.
WE COLLABORATE WITH OUR CUSTOMERS
In Blåkläder’s very own product development department, we go full throttle. Over 1200 new products have seen the light of day during the last couple of years. However, this is something we could never have done ourselves. Our end-users are the most essential product developers, and they have been gracious enough to help us out. Just as it should be.
THE WORLD NEEDS FEWER GARMENTS
Our firm belief is that the world would benefit from reducing the amount of clothing produced in favour of higher quality garments. Innovative thinking and long-term use always win in the end. We say no to fast money, hasty decisions, temporary solutions and crazy quick fixes. For us, it’s the only long term and sustainable way forward.
Thanks to our cutting edge and fully automated logistics solution called AutoStore, the warehouse staff picks about 40 000 garments per day, a number that can go up as high as 45 000 during the season peaks. And as if this weren’t impressive enough, all this boils down to a delivery accuracy of soaring 97%. Figures that speak volumes, and then some.
THREE TIMES LONGER LIFECYCLE
From Blåkläder, you get a garment lifecycle that is three times longer than lower quality products. You also get a garment that is produced in a sustainable and transparent production. We dare to say that the key to profound, sustainable work in a supply chain is to have close relationships and access to all suppliers.
Our workwear is known to last long and survive in the harshest conditions, and that is something we take our greatest pride in. Long-lasting, sustainable clothing is and has always been the model for Blåkläder, and therefore we take great pride in our commitment “Lifetime guarantee on seams”.
ALL THE STYLES, SIZES & COLOURS
One of Blåkläder’s most vital assets is our comprehensive stock of a significant variant of styles, sizes and colours. We always keep sufficient stock at our warehouses, ready to be shipped out to any destination of your choice, usually within a day from when the order comes in.
Although the industry has long been dominated by men, there is absolutely no doubt that women are entitled to the same options concerning workwear. Therefore, at Blåkläder, we proudly state that we offer complete women’s collections in all occupational categories. Even more, we have maternity trousers.
Sustainability lies in Blåkläder’s DNA. We are particularly proud that our factories in Myanmar have been awarded LEED Platinum status, the highest classification in the LEED Green Building Certification for environmentally sustainable buildings. But for us at Blåkläder, sustainability is about more than environmental issues. Our social responsibility is what really defines us. We view secure employment, access to healthcare, and long-term support for the communities in which we operate as a matter of utmost importance.
SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE & SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION
- OUR EVERYTHING
We strongly believe in our values and principles and try to actualise them every day, all year long, decade after decade. Or, as we call them, our cornerstones. Quality, function, design, and sustainability. That’s the cornerstones. And we have a passion for them, believe in them, stand for them and live by them. Without the cornerstones of Blåkläder, we are nothing.
